Haris Alexiou & Nouveau Sextet
She is the great diva of the Greek music scene. The voice of Greece as it is also affectionately called. Their repertoire includes Rembetiko (Greek blues), oriental and traditional songs, chansons, folk and ballads. This versatility and her epoch-spanning program make Haris so popular with her fans. The six top musicians who accompany them have come together to form the Nouveau Sextet especially for this program. With their virtuoso playing on over 15 instruments and their singing, they and Haris create a fascinating ethno-jazz sound.

Thanasis Papakonstantinou
One of the most famous singers and composers of the last 20 years. His music is influenced by traditional Greek music, but he often has his own, very idiosyncratic interpretation of it. He combines well-known melodies with modern, jazzy tones and contemporary critical texts. He started out as a mechanical engineer in Larissa, but today has his own recording studio and dedicates himself exclusively to his great passion, music. Papakonstantinou works together with famous artists of our time such as Sokratis Malamas, Nikos Papazoglou, Melina Kana, Giannis Aggelakas and Lizeta Kalimeri.

Giannis Haroulis
Energetic, charismatic Cretan uses his lute to get the best out of the excellent musicians who accompany him. He is the innovator of Greek folklore and combines old Greek folk music traditions with modern elements. An introverted glockenspiel intro is followed by Greek clarinet melodies and an igniting firework of faster-paced Cretan dance melodies, which reach their climax through spectacular breaks and rhythm changes and leave the hall buzzing. Haroulis combines Rebetiko classics and his own ballads in a traditional mournful tone, with bagpipes and dreamy psychedelia sounds on ney and reed flute.
