It is almost time! The second edition of the “Mediterranean Music Festival” will take place in May. You have the unique opportunity to experience 22 musicians from 10 different countries (Iran, Turkey, Armenia, Italy, Israel, Albania, Germany, France, Greece and Switzerland) in a unique ambience in Zurich, Bern, Frankfurt or Gothenburg. A journey into a world of distant musical listening habits awaits you. This special musical event was created by Greek composer and kanoun player Alkis Zopoglou with the vision of building intercultural bridges to the musical traditions of the Mediterranean.

Yes gladly! Count me in!

The Kanun soloist Alkis Zopoglou and his ensemble Kontrabando welcome the Syrian-Armenian soloist Haig Yazdjian at the Oud and together they take a journey through the traditional melodies of Greece and Anatolia, but also play personal compositions…
Rosetta Lopardo sings traditional reinterpreted southern Italian songs from her homeland. The songs tell of love, of tristezza dolce (sweet sadness) and of joyful togetherness. Let yourself be carried away to the land of passion!
