I often receive requests for tips on emigrating to Ikaria. Personally, I have lived here for 30 years, longer than I have ever lived in Switzerland, and would like to pass this concern on to the forum and the “newer” emigrants, as a lot has changed in terms of cars, registration, authorities, etc.
Dear Ursula, after I was on Ikaria for the first time 22 years ago, the island has never let me go! Now, I would like to move to Ikaria. I’m sure you have Germans in your community who can give me a few tips regarding cars, car insurance, main residence in Germany, pension, registration with the Greek authorities, etc. Thank you very much Astrid
