If you want to spend a few days on Samos, I have just the thing for you.
The picturesque little town of Pythagorion, the birthplace of the well-known philosopher and mathematician Pythagoras, has a long seafaring tradition that has made the island of Samos famous far beyond the borders of the Aegean Sea for 2,000 years.
Right in the center of Pythagorion, practical yet quiet!
The Hotel Remezzo, located just a few meters from the harbor quay, offers 21 spacious rooms in the center of the city. All rooms have a balcony or terrace and the roof terrace offers great views of the city and harbor. So you live centrally and at the same time directly at the harbor.
The hotel has 21 double rooms that can also accommodate a third person.
There is also a beautiful apartment consisting of two connecting rooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchenette and its own private terrace in the courtyard.
Right at the harbor
The Remezzo Studios: There are 3 studios directly at the port of Pythagorion. Two of the studios have sea view balconies, one offers a view of the mountains from the balcony. Up to 5 people can live in the apartment.
Ideal for families or sailing crews chartering from Samos and needing accommodation for one or two nights.
Arrival to Samos and travel connections
Remezzo is 4 km from Samos Airport. There are flight connections between Athens and Samos three times a day. In the summer months between May and October, charters fly directly to Samos from many major European cities. Direct flights from Samos are also available to Rhodes, Crete and Thessaloniki.
Daily ferry connections from the port of Samos/City, 13 km away, to Ikaria, Athens and the Cyclades.
Passenger ferries and high-speed ships depart directly from Pythagorion to Patmos, Leros, Kalymnos and Kusadasi-Ephesus. (Türkiye, approx. 1 hour boat trip)
The excursion boats to the other beaches of Samos leave directly from the port of Pythagorion and return there.
There is a bus stop in the city and the taxi rank is 50 meters from the hotel.
Lia and Vaggelis are very experienced and are happy to help organize excursions, even with a German-speaking guide in the surrounding area, a day trip with all the highlights of Samos, but also day trips by boat to the very interesting excavations of Ephesus (Turkey) or to the famous St. John’s Monastery on Patmos.
The Remezzo Hotel in Samos was originally highly recommended to me by friends from Switzerland who had stopped there on their trip to Ikaria. They were so impressed by the warmth and hospitality of the owners that they asked me not to withhold the Remezzo from you. I am now friends with Lia and Vaggelis and can also highly recommend their small hotel.
